Our Newest Member

Our newest members are featured in the Chamber & Business News insert in the Union Enterprise and the Allegan Country News and Gazette on the first Thursday of each month. Over 12,000 subscribers will have the chance to read all about your business. We promote your services in an introduction that gives everyone the opportunity to get to know you. We print anywhere from one paragraph to one page detailing and promoting your business. New members are also featured at the start of our MEMBERS page for the entire month.

The Otsego Chamber of Commerce compiles and distributes a community packet for prospective and new businesses and residents, real estate offices, organizations, etc. Our members are invited to include anything from a business card to a booklet in this packet to promote their business and services. This gives members the first available opportunity to introduce their business to the newcomers.

We are probably the largest recipients of request for business references and referrals. We believe and proudly communicate that our members can provide the requester with superior services and products. Our members are always the first to be referred.

Is there a special event coming up in your business? Has your company recently reached a significant milestone? Have you changed locations, hours, added a unique new product or service? If so, we would like to know about it so we can share your news with others. We feature a special section in the Chamber & Business News specifically for our members to announce this information. This is a great way to get free advertising.

We designate substantial space within our office to furnish promotional information on our members, as well as information on travel and tourism, culture, civic and educational activities, various governmental materials, etc. If we do not have it, we will find out where to get it.

If you are a chamber member, you are entitled to set up a free display booth for the Creative Arts Festival.

The chamber office has a new photocopier available for use by our members for $.02 a copy. You supply the paper and manpower.

The chamber's web address is www.otsegochamber.org, all of our members are listed with their address and phone number along with a link to their web page. We have found that this has been very successful and convenient for everyone.

The Chamber of Commerce is a catalyst. A common vehicle through which businesses and professional people can promote themselves and work together for the common good of the community. A better community means better business conditions and a better community for everyone.

The Chamber of Commerce gathers statistics, provides maps, provides business listings, community profiles, brochures, welcomes new business into the community, answers inquires and advertises what a great place our community is to work, live and enjoy life.  

Your membership helps to support the Scholarship Program, the Chamber Golf Outing, the Creative Arts Festival, Christmas Homes Tour, Halloween "Trail for Treaters", the Christmas Parade and member breakfasts.

You are the Chamber of Commerce. You provide the ideas, the drive, the goals and the funds to keep the Chamber of Commerce doing what it does. Without you, there would be no chamber, and who would do all those things if the chamber didn't.
